  "Herd" and "Cats" are two words you wouldn't normally associate with one another. Cats are pretty much solitary beasts -- with the notable exception of lions, of course... but then they're usually the ones EATING the herd :-)

  Just added my Jaiku feed to my feedreader so I can keep track of things from there, and jump in if I see anything interesting. Should prompt me to participate here more often. Next job... weeding the dross out of my feed reader so I actually read the good stuff!

  Thanks! Tend to be on Twitter more because Twhirl makes it so easy! Browser interfaces are so clunky! Like the comments feature on Jaiku though -- promotes conversation... which has to be good, right?

  I use Joomla, which I think is up there with Drupal. Guess it depends what you're after. If it's blogging platforms maybe this will be of use: http://url.ie/elv. There's also this: http://url.ie/elw, and http://opensourcecms.com lets you "try before you download" a selection of PHP / MySQL offerings.

  Just thought -- the subdomain / domain thing probably isn't is, as the feeburner feeds both map to feeds.cjwwriting,com/digitalmarketingsuccess and /writing-for-life respectively. Could it be the hyphens in the second feed URL?

  Hi Conor. Yes both feeds are through feedburner originated from self hosted wordpress blogs. They should be identical. The only difference I can think of is that one of them is on its own domain (www.digtialmarketingsuccess.com -- which works) and the other is on a subdomain (blog.cjwriting.com) which doesn't. Weird!

  Twhirl was acting up for me earlier... but seems to have sorted itself now. In all, twitter seems to be having one of its better days today... at least from where I'm sitting.
